JUST BEWARE (WINNER) and SPIDER BOY (SECOND)

at Plumpton, 1st Nov 2010

"This is more fun that it looks." Just Beware explains the pre-race ritual.

A little bit of stalking of the leader pays off as Just Beware is about to hit the front for good at about halfway...

...doing it stealthily enough to really surprise Mid Wicket when she appears.

Unbridled joy all round, except for Just Beware, who still has her bridle on, and does not seem especially delighted with the outcome

Whatever it was that she disapproved of, she has the person responsible in her sights (clue, not Katie)

Our roving spy in the sky spots Gemma in a post-race dissection of the race with Plumpton legend Ray Goldstein (bottom left). We know who you are and what you are doing, so stop it!

If you take enough photographs, you will eventually snap one that catches someone in a position that is not very complimentary. If this one has mysteriously disappeared, you know money has changed hands.

Spider Boy decides at the third not to let Brilliant have his way any longer

With a lap to go, Spidey is still in front, but Just The Job is ominously close (in the blue and yellow)

Another job well done, every one is satisfied...

...but for Spider Boy, there is time for a quick nap before the ride home
